To your point about Saratoga, and some other tracks, being a great social place - we were at Fenway Park last night, to me, most of the fans were there for the social aspect. Few seemed to be die-hard fans. People right behind us were on their first date!
These tracks that forget they are in the client-experience business, need a reminder. Too many of our Suffolk Down's are now in the history books.
Btw, If Harvey Pack pointed it out years ago, why aren't more tracks set-up like Saratoga where the horses walk in to the Paddock thru the crowd? Need more creativity and fan engagement, and less cookie-cutter.
