Flightline is great at the moment but he is no Secretariat or close to other legends of the sport. I guess if you're younger and haven't been able to watch horses run more than 5 times in their career so far then he is the greatest. I miss horses that ran often.
Chuck, great point about “rabbits”. They did a feature on Damascus on the Fox Show. In the Race of the Century-the Woodward of 67-both Eddie Neloy & Frank Whiteley ran a “rabbit” at Dr Fager. I’m pretty sure that neither gentleman felt the least twinge of regret when those two rabbits-Hedevar & Great Power-softened up the great Dr Fager in that race!
